TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT

Project Overview:

CHM Group produced Temporary Traffic Management Plans and associated  Risk Assessment on behalf of John Paul Construction identifying the traffic management requirements needed to facilitate the works and road users during the construction stage.

Key features of CHM’s service

This project began in July 2021 consisting of day and night-time works requiring strategic planning by CHM Group to facilitate these works which included the following;

  • Site clearance
  • Planing of existing paving materials
  • Surfacing comprising of the application of Bond Coat, Geogrid and the laying of Bituminous materials
  • Removal of existing Traffic Loop Detectors and Detector boxes
  • Installation of new Drainage Gullies and cleaning and flushing of existing Gullies
  • Provision of new Kerbs, Footways and paved areas
  • Installation of Temporary Road Markings and Road Studs

All of which required Temporary Traffic Management to enable the works to be carried out with the least amount of disruption to road users while ensuring the safety of the workers involved.

CHM Group implemented Stop/Go and Lane Closure Traffic Management systems to facilitate these works drawing on the wide ranging skill set of our highly trained operatives to deliver an unparalleled level of service to our Clients’ brief providing all necessary signage and Traffic Management equipment required to implement these systems safely in compliance with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual.
